“Junior” level baseball is the next level after Intermediates. It is substantially similar to Intermediates with the following exceptions:
- Registrations close in late February
- Players are 14 years old rather than 13 as in Intermediates
- Regulation-sized diamond — 90-foot base paths and a 60’6″ pitcher’s mound
- Rosters are typically larger, as kids this age have more conflicts with other activities
NESLL usually fields 1-2 Junior teams, so these teams play other teams from around Seattle — Magnolia, Ballard, Queen Anne, Bothell and Woodinville among them. Some games may be farther away, but these are typically Saturday games.
