We introduce the ball-meets-bat sports to children through tee ball. The general gist:
- Players age 4-6 as of August 31, 2022
- Co-ed
- 13-15 players per team
- Players select their teams (NESLL will assign players to teams on parent request)
- REGISTRATION CLOSES ON MARCH 15th, 2022
- Practices will start around the middle of March
- Games begin in early April
- Two games per week are played -- one on a weeknight and one on Saturday (twelve games total)
- Games begin between 5-6 PM on weeknights and at 9:30 AM and later on Saturdays.
- Players hit balls off a tee
- 55-foot base paths
- Three inning "games"
- No scores
- No outs
- All hits are singles
- All batters hit every inning
- Each matchup (Team A v. Team B) is split into two sub matchups (A1 v. B1, A2 v. B2) played on adjacent fields
- Team shirts, hats, bats and helmets provided by NESLL
- Players bring their own gloves; personal helmets strongly encouraged
- Tee Ball Players are strongly encouraged to graduate to the Farm Program with their fellow peers and NOT their coaches. Moving up to Farm because of a coach move is not a valid reason to be in Farm. ALL requested moves from Tee Ball to Farm MUST BE APPROVED by BOTH the Tee Ball and Farm league Coordinators.
